A beautiful place with a fascinating history. The chateau has rustic charm and character. It is unpretentious and exudes genuine warmth. The room was cosy and comfortable, with a decent ensuite.
Extra pillows were in a dusty box with a dead fly.
No real hanging space for clothing.
Lamp shades very old and dusty.

Fabulous selection of breakfast items compared to many hotels and B&Bs. Plenty of parking available. Excellent restaurant on site. Comfortable room.
Better multi-lingual marking for arriving guests: "Hello, ring this doorbell for entry."

Very beautiful calming place !
When I booked I didn’t know the shower would be outside my bedroom, even though I stayed at the Tower and no other guests were there, I wish I would have known, but it was doable because I only stayed one night

Stunning Chateau atop wooded hill.
Well manicured gardens, wonderful view
Inattentive staff. It took 3 bell rings, 2 phone messages and over 10 minutes for the entrance door to be opened. The bathroom smelled of sewage.
Breakfast was average...no hot options and the food is not replenished throughout the 2 hours. Best advice, get down for 8am.
This venue could be a welcoming historical stay, and would command an even higher
price if well run. Such a shame
