Needed a family room for 3 adults plus 2 large pet dogs - size was excellent, and unbelievably clean. Excellent bath/shower in the decently-sized bathroom, with separate wc which is very useful when travelling in a group. Owner/manager was very helpful and friendly, giving directions for restaurants, the castle etc. Absolute bonus was the private, off-road parking. Really good option for families.
Initially a little expensive, I thought, but actually pretty much the going rate and I don't think you'll find a cleaner place in Azay.

Centrally located, felt very safe and great value. The man on reception was really lovely and so helpful with restaurant suggestions and how to get around the village - he made our stay!
Nothing to not like.

Proximity to Château Azay-le-Rideau, parking on site, small and friendly, close to restaurants.
It would have been sweltering during the recent heatwave, but at least there was a fan when it was 27 degrees. No lift for luggage☹️.

Good location and fine for a stopover. Made memorable by the great help we were given by M Picout when we were attempting to retrieve a bag containing vital medication from our previous hotel. We would not have manged this without his help.
It was what we expected an needed for an overnight hotel. Lovely little town and we wished we could have stayed longer.
