Friendly helpful staff, quirky interior design, good food. Well frequented but not too crowded either.... definitely worth a look if youre thinking of visiting the area.
They were able to offer me a single ensuite room which was what I wanted.
A bit out of the way down narrow country lanes.
Room was a bit chilly at first.. in an annex.. but it warmed up OK with radiator on.

Room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Restaurant was superb, food nicely presented and delicious. All staff were warm, friendly and efficient. Atmosphere was great and the place had a lovely vibe.

Excellent breakfast
This was a last minute booking & I didn't realise when we booked that the pub shuts at 6.30pm on a Sunday and stops serving food at lunchtime. Set in a quaint village with no other pubs or amenities.
We were in Room 2 which has a lovely double bed but the TV is at right angles to the bed and there are no chairs to sit on, so watching the TV is a bit of a challenge. The radiator in the bathroom did not work but water was hot in the shower and we were provided with milk in a flask to have tea and coffee after the pub had closed.
Breakfast was amazing and the pub itself is really quirky! We especially loved the top hat lampshades.
The local church is well worth a visit as it's steeped in history.

Loved the pub and staff and village 'food was fab
I was put in a room which was like a cubourd far too small found it hard to sleep inn because felt enclosed in room i had a tiny single bed no where really to hang clothes hanged on tv and shower door there was no hot water in sink to shave ' night i got there told staff tv not working ' staff member tried his best to get stations with no joy so 3 nights no tv and a room that was about 8ft by 7 ft ' had a night mare with wi fi there 'yet a freind of mine paid same price had a massive room with 4 poster bed so will not be returning there again i work very hard loved the place but the room 'tv not working 'no hot water and most of time no wi fi so will not be returning
