We spent two lovely days at this homestay in Gubei. The owners Mr Lo and his family were warm, welcoming and incredibly attentive. The food was delicious, especially the fresh, sweet and tasty vegetables grown in their own garden. The Western-style breakfast was excellent too! There was plenty of spacious, relaxing communal space, making it ideal for families. Our trip to the Jinshanling Great Wall was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
It’s very personal. The bed was hard, and although the homestay is ideal for families with kids, we were looking for peace and quiet.

Amazing stay! The location is amazing and allows us to explore the Great Wall without crowds. The hosts were extremely welcoming and kind, helping us and giving advice on where to visit. Amazing food cooked by the hosts with vegetables from their garden, which made it very fresh and tasty. One of the bests stays of my trip. I definitely would recommend to anyone wishing to visit the great wall!

Super close to start of Great Wall walk. Incredibly friendly hosts. Fantastic food. Kittens. Can see the wall from the pool.
Nothing!
