Sue and Jack are both lovely and accomodating hosts! The location is perfect, beds are comfortable after a long hike. Would recommend the homestay dinner such a delicious meal by the hosts.

The Xiu and Jack were so very nice and helpful, they helped us design hikes and made sure that we got to where we needed to be. They were the best part of our trip to China. The hotel is brand new. Very nice people, very friendly and funny

Everything. My partner and I really enjoyed everything! The guest house was simple but sufficient and perfect for our needs. Really comfortable bed, sufficient heating in the cold weather, super friendly and helpful hosts (Jack and Xiu were simply wonderful!), good food, great prices. Really couldn't have asked for more!!! The hosts were so warm and welcoming when we arrived, and also stayed up late at night to karaoke and chat with us (helps if you speak chinese of course, but xiu can speak some english anyway, so no issue there for non-mandarin speakers). The homemade breakfast in the morning was delicious and we had a lovely chat with the other guests over breakfast too. Jack and Xiu are such a funny couple, they made us laugh repeatedly over our many conversations, and also went to great lengths to advise us and guide us on the optimal route to climb the Great Wall. 10/10 stay overall; I only wish we stayed longer :")
Almost nothing - everything was great. Perhaps the bathroom could have been a bit bigger; also note that there arent big bath towels to dry your body after showering! But that was no problem for us anyway. Another thing - our room door couldnt lock (or maybe we couldn't figure it out), but again, not an issue for us. We felt very safe throughout our stay there.

We had a wonderful stay. Jack and Xiu are helpful and considerate. Jack provides driver services and drove us to and from Jinshanling and Simatai Grest Wall areas. This is most convenient. We very much enjoyed the dinner prepared by Xiu. Our room was great.
