This is a perfect hotel. The setting is magnificent. The room in the chateau was excellent with a very comfortable bed and the staff were very friendly and accommodating with our small dog. We had the 8 course tasting menu while we were there and it was among one of the best meals we have ever had. Every course was delicious and again, the service throughout was excellent. The breakfast on the sunny patio was also lovely. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and we have booked to stay again on our return journey to the UK from the South of France.

The place is simply stunning, the landscape and the castle itself are gorgeous, this made it worth it on its own
The staff was quite junior, lots of mistakes (did not find me by the pool while we are like 15 people for example) and the gym is far from expected standard

The swimming pool is the property highlight. Overall It’s a nice setting with great views.
I think as a 5 star hotel the options for food could be substantially better. I appreciate that the restaurant is a Michelin star so therefore popular, but I feel guests should be the priority in terms of booking a place at the restaurant being its 5 star.
If you don’t manage to get a booking at the restaurant then there are very limited options available to you for room service and given the rural setting this can create a problem.
In my opinion the rooms are not of a 5 star standard, attention to detail could be a lot higher, the decor is basic and more akin to a 3 star hotel. Over all the setting and Michelin star restaurant are doing the heavy lifting here. Despite this, the staff were helpful and nice throughout.
