Overall, it was a good stay. I needed a hotel close to the train station, so the location was perfect — just a 5-minute walk away, in a quiet residential area. The hotel was clean, the room was spacious, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free.
However, the €65 cleaning fee came as an unexpected surprise. This should be clearly communicated upfront, before booking.
I also find the option of either cleaning the room yourself or paying a €65 cleaning fee concerning. I would not feel comfortable checking into a room cleaned by previous guests rather than by professional cleaning staff following appropriate hygiene and sanitation standards.
I believe the property should reconsider this approach and ensure that professional cleaning is included as a standard part of the stay, with any additional fees clearly disclosed before booking.

Inexpensive (cheap) simple accommodation; no frills, just very basic. Very convenient for buses and trains. My request for a quiet room was actioned - thank you.
Reaction and action to investigate and address source of a very unpleasant odour which lingered over a four day stay despite being reported to reception on three occasions. Had to sleep with balcony door open to keep air relatively free from a nasty smell. Staff invariably very polite and apologetic (and horrified when they experienced, at my insistence, the awful smell). Such a pity (the source of the pong remains a mystery to me). For the single traveller, ideal for a short business stay. Thank you for post-visit management intervention. I will use again but on the assumption that this experience was an aberration.
