The location. It’s beautiful, and you can walk to the centre of town - Covent Garden , theatre area etc. If you don’t want to there are lots of buses, and Russell sq underground is close by. The staff were helpful and nice. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good.
Only that my room (the garden room ) had a lot of steep steps. It’s split level. Though I’m fit, I had to go down backwards to the entrance area where the loo, coffee facilities and entrance are though I’m fit. It’s not for anyone who is bothered by that idea in the middle of the night .

Really central
Small room

This was a well-appointed room. Spotlessly clean with all the basics covered well. The gentleman on reception when I checked out was absolutely brilliant - a short interaction but I felt seen, heard, and valued as a person when he thanked me for my stay.
Could hear the tube faintly but to be fair that's very common in many central london properties.

Central location near Kings Cross
One bath towel per room is very spartan. When asked, they say they don't have any more towels.
The smell coming from the breakfast kitchen in the room is intense.
The house is noisy.
