The staff -especially Sipho, the manager - are exceptionally kind and attentive. The owners were also welcoming and kind and even lend me a book. I was at Crimson during the week and enjoyed the peacefulness, the close proximity to the animals at the waterhole, the birdlife, the sounds of the bush. I loved seeing the bushbabies on the property and being able to dip in the pool during the heat of the day. I loved every self drive and enjoyed being in an area that is dense with wildlife. I booked a deluxe suite and The bed was very comfy. The kitchen well equipped. I would visit again
The lack of environmental awareness in such an environment. There are no “save water” signs, there is no recycling, the towels get collected and washed every day and the plastic bin bags changed. I tried to explain to the staff why we shouldn’t wash so much or use so much plastic but there was no understanding of what I was saying.
Personally, I would have liked a written guide of sorts in my room that answers the many questions one has about does and don’ts, what’s around etc.
Further, I did all my shopping outside of Dinokeng beforehand, not realising that there is a convenience store nearby, service stations inside the reserve and several restaurants to choose from.
So, for next time I feel better prepared now.

I had an excellent stay. The lodge is perfectly located inside Dinokeng Game Reserve, only 1h30 from Johannesburg, and offers amazing value for money for the quality provided. As a solo traveler, I really appreciated the owners’ kindness and support — they organised my whole stay and made everything easy and safe.(ensured my safe return by driving me to Johannesburg and checking that I arrived safely.)

We had a fantastic weekend at Crimson Bush Lodge, staying in three deluxe rooms as a group of five. The lodge is peaceful, beautifully maintained and the perfect place to relax and enjoy a bush getaway.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped, with everything working exactly as it should. With the hot weather, we really appreciated taking a swim in the pool to cool off during the day. The air-conditioning in the rooms was also a big plus, keeping us comfortable at night and allowing us to get a great night's sleep despite the heat.
We enjoyed two fantastic braais during our 2-night stay, and the outdoor setting made for a great weekend with friends. We were also lucky enough to spot kudu and wildebeest just outside the lodge fence, which was a real highlight!
The location is very convenient, with Safari Mall nearby if you need to pop out for supplies. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were absolutely amazing, even going as far as washing our car before we left! The owner, Johan, was also incredibly accommodating when we arrived a little later than planned due to traffic from Johannesburg.
It's the combination of the peaceful setting, excellent facilities and genuinely outstanding service that makes this place special. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Crimson Bush Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing bush getaway. We will definitely be back!

The room was very clean and more private with a garden view. Minimum distraction and peace of mind.
I would not mind to me contacted when the staff wishes to wash my vehicle. One of the guy washed my vehicle without my permission, I understand for him it was for good gesture since the vehicle was full of dust and rain marks.
However, this was a problem to me because my vehicle have panoramic roof and when washed with minimum water and rough clothes it scratches the class. And that is what happened.
I will recommend the staff to first get permission before the wash guests vehicles.
