Exceptional hospitality: Warm, courteous staff who made us feel well looked after throughout our stay.
Room: Spacious, airy, spotless and very comfortable.
Bathroom: Large, clean bathtub, excellent water pressure and a powerful hairdryer.
Bed: Comfortable, although the mattress was a little too firm for our preference.
Bar: Cosy atmosphere with a good drinks and wine selection, though by-the-glass options were limited.
Breakfast: Good English and Continental choices, freshly prepared to order. Loved the personal touch of having no buffet.
Restaurant: Delicious food, a focused menu and several vegetarian options. The chicken breast, pappardelle, chicken curry, rice pudding and cheeseboard were all excellent.
Mattress: A little firmer than we would have liked.
Room view: Car park outlook lacked scenic appeal.
Drinks: Limited wine options by the glass.

Great location, lovely staff & good food and comfortable room

The staff (especially Charlie) were outstanding. The bar and restaurant areas were clean and beautifully presented. The food, especially breakfast. Comfortable bed. Immaculate room. Good shower.
Plastic plants in the room. Would prefer a flannel / sponge as part of the toiletries to wash yourself with. Would prefer one set of toiletries per guest, not per room as they are very small. Would prefer a coffee machine in the room.
