The hotel is located right next to the lake, offering a fantastic close-up view of the fireworks (if the event is not canceled). The view from the room is absolutely beautiful. Both breakfast and dinner offer a great variety of food, and the quality is quite good. The panoramic onsen on the 9th floor is spectacular, and the outdoor bath is also very well designed.
We didn't receive a welcome drink, we waited to the counter to check in, but no one noticed whereas all other guests received a glass each. Individual guests seem to be treated as second priority to tour groups, even though we arrived before the official 3:00 PM check-in time, all dinner slots between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM were already fully booked, leaving us with very limited choices. The room felt quite run-down; 3 light bulbs were not working, the bathroom had a musty smell, sofa was quite dirty, and the outdoor balcony was lots of stains. The last one, be aware that the hotel has 2 zones. If you stay in the "Spa Resort" wing/zone, you are not allowed to use the Club Hall facilities unless you pay an extra charge.

Nothing about the hotel which was brilliant. The only niggle is we hired bikes from hotel. Some say a scenic 43km cycle round Lake Toya, which it is, but be warned a lot is on the road.

Fireworks right in front of the room

Staff arranging the carpark is tedious
Should let customer park their own and keep the car key without the trouble queuing at the lobby for collection. Wasting time.

Love the big windows to enjoy the fireworks outside.
The room was dirty when we checked in. The mirror on the desk had some slimy liquid when we opened it up. There were hair found in several places in the room.
