Very helpful staff who were able to allow an early check in, good breakfast in both quantity and quality.
Room was clean and comfortable but a bit of a timewarp from the 80's with things looking rather tired.

Very comfy bed. Nice quiet area. Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. Nearby Saffron Walden was lovely.
Nothing.

Very comfortable rooms. Warm welcome. Nice garden for a drink or alternatively a nice lounge area.

Friendly staff, nice cooked breakfast options, decent shower and bathroom.
We stayed in a downstairs room in the annexe. The room was nice enough, but could definitely do with warm floor covering or at least a rug or two by the bed instead of laminate flooring throughout. However the worst aspect was the noise from upstairs guests - there is zero sound proofing, so from 10.30pm when they returned from their evening out we had loud clomping overhead, shouting, arguing and throwing stuff about. This continued for 2 hours or more, and it was impossible for us to sleep. It's a shame that the owners haven't invested in better floor coverings and/or sound insulation.

"Very cozy boutique hotel - more like a homey bed and breakfast feel. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend if you'd like a quaint B&..."
