Antonio was a really nice guy even when things got complicated. He realised that we cannot stay for four nights in his house due to an overbooking so he reserved us a 4 stars hotel in Funchal and we didn’t had to pay anything.
The property was quiet and nice.
The location is somewhere in the mountains and is not ideal. Also the kitchen can be more clean. And then there is also a church with a bell that is ringing every 15 minutes, in the night is heard less frequently, but it can still be heard. Also there can be improved the cleaning in the room.

Nice host
Even though the host was really nice, and available at all times, there were some things wrong with the property - the room was wet and smelly, there was a bit of mold on the walls, and because of all the humidity our clothes and towels could not get dry and were actually wet for the whole week. It was cold and dark in the room. There was no cleaning service - we did not get fresh towels for the whole week, no one cleaned the room, we ran out of toilet paper twice. When we got in, the miror in the bathroom was dirty with toothpase, and there was someone’s used band aid in my bed.
The pool was dirty and of no use, as well as the chairs and the table outside were dirty. The wifi worked only in the living room.
