The location was just right for our visit to Westonbirt. Easy to find and lots of parking. Great to have a bath as requested. Staff were lovely. Lots of area to sit outside
The room smelled damp but luckily we could open the windows to air it. No big deal it was a wet day. Several children running in and out of the restaurant and leaving the door open so a blast of cold air kept coming in. Staff should've told their parents to keep them under control. The food we wanted to order was unavailable, the alternative was hunters chicken with very overcooked sauce stuck to the side of the dish. No shepherds pie, so the alternative was a chicken pie which was mostly pastry and very little chicken. We were asked if all was ok during the meal but there was no point in mentioning this as the kitchen was closing early.

Room was adequate. Bed was comfy
Car park was full of potholes. Another member of our party was only notified a few hours prior to our arrival that our restaurant reservation was cancelled for that evening due to lack of staff, meaning a further unscheduled 20 minute drive to get an evening meal. Breakfast on our first morning lacked lustre. the croissants and danish pastries tasted stale and they had been reheated too much. Hot water on both mornings was not hot enough for tea. Shame no cooked breakfast was available

We were in an outside room, nice and private. Scenery was beautiful.
Cracks in the sink and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work.

No chef on duty for lunch or evening meal. Given the option of looking elsewhere for food in an unfamiliar area. Or a choice of 3 different flavoured crisps or nuts.
