The room is large and has a good clean bathroom. Bed comfortable.
A long walk to breakfast, thankfully not raining. The TV did not have any working channels.
The radiator was noisy all the time, like water running through.

They don’t warn us that you had to self check-in and find the golf reception first, but it was fine.

Thornbury Lodge is in a lovely situation at Thornbury golf course, with lovely views.
There are only 11 rooms inside Thornbury Lodge and it could be a gorgeous small hotel, the lodge itself has just the rooms, no reception etc, check in and the bar, restaurant are in the clubhouse. Our room was a very good size, nice view, but the furniture and decor need updating. Our bathroom had badly cracked tiles on the bath panelling, chips on the sink, old stains, and not what you would expect for the cost of the room. There is no mini fridge, only 2 tea bags, 4 little milk pots, some sachets of coffee, 2 glasses provided but no water! Very basic and should be better for the cost of a night.
We didn’t eat there, but you can get food/breakfast in the clubhouse at an extra cost.
