This is a jewel, a couple of minutes off the Main Street. Friendly, helpful and informative welcome. Lovely dual aspect room, nicely decorated, spacious and not one but two balconies, with views over Zermatt to the mountains beyond! Good-sized bathroom with plenty of shelf/ storage space. Elevator (lift) was appreciated as the room was on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was good in a cosy dining room. Lovely maintained garden. Staff/owners very helpful and knowledgeable. Within easy reach of the main part of Zermatt and dangerously close to the Lindt shop!
The approach to the hotel is up a short but steep hill, that proved challenging with our luggage. The owner helped us in and provided complementary and much appreciated transport back to the station. The benefit was of course the views!
