Independent, good location for hartpury university - comfortable overall.
Generally not much but on this occasion the hearing was up so high in the upstairs rooms it was uncomfortably warm. The thermostat registered 27 degrees and even after a day of the windows being open and the hearing turned right down it was still 24/25 degrees in the room so comfortable sleep in their lovely room was not possible.
I believe the rooms had previously been cold so I appreciate they were acting on feedback already so getting it in the middle is what they need to do.

We booked last minute and it was so easy. When we got there the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us .
The room was quite cold but I think that was because of the last minute booking. We were moved straight to another room which was brilliant.

Style of building and situation in which one could walk on a footpath into Gloucester
THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST ON SITE and we were not told this before booking. We had to walk along beside the busy A40 to get to establishments that only served cooked breakfasts. We prefer continental/fruit/muesli.
The cold tap on the bath did not work, nor did the room thermostat and the hook was missing off the back of the bathroom door. There were no hotel staff on site to ask about these things, but the Lockkeepers staff were very nice and helpful. However they could not help with the questions about the facilities in the room.
The evening meals in the Lockkeepers were excellent and the staff were great.
