It was clean, friendly with good rooms and comfortable foyer to sit and chat to friends. Breakfast was good and being able to get warm drinks and fruit at any time was excellent.
The staff were excellent and all were helpful with special thanks to Daniel the duty manager and Karen in the dining room for their help.
The loo in the bedroom was particularly low and I had to struggle to get up each time I used it. Probably my fault for not booking an accessible room which I usually do but others in my group also agreed with me.

A very confirtable room. Excellent shower.
The lift is very small but there is a good staircase.
It was good to have the coffee/tea machines in the lounge available at all times. A generous gesture which was much appreciated.
Very helpful reception and breakfast staff.
If you don't need to use your car while in Chester, the public long stay car park directly opposite the hotel entrance (Watergate St car park) is about half the price of the hotel car park. Otoh, the hotel car park allows multiple exit/entry for the daily price.)

The breakfast was good, the location was excellent, the bed was comfortable.
No wardrobe space it drawers shelves for clothes, just a small area for hanging a few items. Some of the items of furniture in the room and in the bar were dirty and stained. No air con anywhere other than the bar area. Bar staff quite dismissive of the fact the had run out of run of the mill popular drinks such as Bailey’s and didn’t stock Tia Maria at all. I would have thought the amount of people asking for it on Friday night, the least they could have done was have some for Saturday but no!! Bit strange on a normal weekend let alone a race meeting weekend,
