The front desk staff was exceptional especially the evening staff. These included providing room amenities and especially with providing recommended places to eat and visit. Breakfast was very good and hotel was authentic and charming.
Nothing.

This is a beautiful, historic hotel in a central location. Despite being the oldest hotel in town it had modern comforts. The staff was very friendly

Clean and cozy room in a great location. Afternoon coffee and cake were a nice treat. I was very appreciative of the early check in. Staff all very friendly.
Due to the design, the shower flooded the bathroom during each use. I regretted having not asked for an inner room due to loud pedestrians outside on Friday and Saturday nights. Mack's wax earplugs helped tremendously. Sunday night was quieter. Only ate breakfast one morning because wanted a bit more sweet, pastry options.

The staff at the reception were excellent, very polite, welcoming and always willing to help. The breakfast offered a wide range of products, and the room was clean.
The hotel preserves much of its original style and character, as explained in the information sheet in the room. The room had carpeting, curtains and upholstered furniture that can easily accumulate dust. Although everything looked very well maintained and clean, for guests with respiratory allergies like me, this traditional style may not be the most suitable option.
The heating worked through the air-conditioning unit, which triggered my allergies. I imagine this system runs all year, and proper maintenance must be challenging. In addition, the pillows were not comfortable for sleeping.
There was a lot of noise during the night coming from the ventilation system, which would turn on and off repeatedly, and also from the bathroom, making it difficult for me to sleep.
The breakfast area was small for the number of guests. On both mornings it was very crowded, and there were no available tables when I arrived.
