Very cosy and staff were super friendly.
A little noisy as by the tram tracks.

This is a beautiful hotel right in the centre of Gothenburg which offers an atmosphere of early twentieth century luxury on a personal scale. The staff were absolutely lovely, the bar is stylish and comfortable, our room was generously proportioned and the breakfast on the roof excellent. We would happily have stayed longer and will gladly return if the winds carry us back to the city.
We somehow didn't get on with the lights. One of the bedside lamps we couldn't get to work at all and the lights in the bathroom were really a game of love and chance: sometimes they came on, sometimes they didn't, and we never found out why: we took this to be part of the unpredictability principle that makes life interesting and used our phones when necessary, although maybe a call down to reception might have shed a metaphorical light, at least, on the matter...

The bed and matress was great. The interior and design was great. One of the best breakfast I have had.
The first room we got was sticky and smelled and the faucet was dripping. The seccond room was with wooden floor and did not smell bad. But the washbasin was full of larger cracks. In general, for the sccond room it was good to stay here for sure. When reading the numbers of stars and checking the price, the expectations are higher.
