Occidental Bangtao Beach Resort

It was a short family trip to Phuket during October for their grand vegetarian festival, and we decided to at least experience the beach life for one day before departure off Phuket. BangTao beach is not too far from the airport and we chose here. We got this hotel room from Booking.com at a very affordable price including breakfast buffet at a rate of about 4000 THB. All we can say, is that the overall experience is so much worthy of the price. The front counter is super friendly and welcoming upon check-in and check-out. There’s staff available to help us with the luggage’s to our room since it’s a bit of distance from the entrance. The entire hotel room is well furnished, cozy, comfortable and fantastic. They even prepared 2 umbrellas and woven split bamboo each for us to bring to the beach. From the entrance, there’s walking distances to restaurants, souvenir shops, bars, convenience stores, boutiques, pharmacies. From the exit, BangTao beach is literally on the side. Since it’s not the most famous beach, the crowd is acceptable and you can enjoy the coziness to the fullest. The swimming pool spans a very large area too, and our room has a separate swimming pool connecting along balconies of the room with swimming pool on the same row. Buffet breakfast is so grand, they serve literally cuisine of all kinds, and even a taste of each item will make you full in the end. Overall, this is a very exciting, fulfilling, and memorable trip to end Phuket here, if you ever visit Phuket and especially BangTao beach, please consider this hotel !

Lots of pools, facilities for children and adults, great access to the beach.

Very convenient location and facilities with great breakfast.

Wifi was very intermittent.

The location is great-right next to catch beach club! The staff are also very nice and helpful.

The property is dated and there have been no renovations since 2020 when I came last time it seems to the rooms. The main doors did not shut properly for myself or friends. One of the twin beds has no plug sockets next to it and one of the bed mattress protectors was urine stained which could be smelt when sleeping. Luckily we were moved room the next night. There were pool renovations going on and the pool bar was not open. Probably this was reflected in the price paid however we were not informed prior to this.
