The tall capped man on reception (we didn’t get his name) was exceptional. Fantastic greeting with a lot of very useful information. We visited the Blacksmith gate on his tale of history. We enjoyed the bar at the end of our day and breakfast too.

Nice clean room, staff were very friendly and helpful.
Location was a bit out of the way. Breakfast buffet was quite expensive. No other option.

The staff are a credit to the business. I can’t remember names, but the barman and the receptionist were very friendly and helpful
My room was a bit dated and not fully clean
