the hotel is overall very good, large comfortable room with lovely sea view and excellent location with many nice cafes and restaurants around and short walk to the sea and also to main baghdad street.
the AC wasn't working well the queen bed cover was too small for two and the room needs bit of refurbishment. Other than that everything was great

It appeared that the two rooms booked had different views. I had asked prior to arriving for the rooms to be next door to each other, not realising that we were then transferred to rooms with very disappointing views. We were ultimately upgraded to sea view rooms (at a cost), however the additional cost was well worth it.
Location was perfect - very close to the sea front a few minutes walk from the shopping area. Breakfast was a good selection of continental, protein, fruit and salads.
It is a hotel in a great social location, so do expect music to be played on occasion in the evenings (not my bag however didn't go on past 10pm/11pm). Apart from the initial confusion regarding the hotel rooms, everything else was on point. The decor is a little dark and perhaps a little dated, however full marks for cleanliness, comfort and helpfulness of staff.

Hotel Suadiye is a preferred choice thanks to its unique location in Suadiye. As always, it was clean.
Although the hotel is very established, it does not seem to invest in renovation. We have stayed here many times, mainly because of its location, but overall the property feels quite outdated. The staff are polite, but not particularly focused on building a connection with guests, they tend to just do their job and move on. The luggage assistance also felt a bit forced, as help was offered only after we had already carried most of our belongings ourselves. Overall, we are satisfied, but if there were alternative options in this location, we would definitely consider them.
