If you every consider a stay in Khiva, GOLD KHIVA is definitely a MUST. Such an impressive nice little hotel. It has 6 rooms and is run by a lovely family. All are exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpfull. The service is impacable. Just amazing. Even on the last day, as they knew we would be leaving very early, there was a knock on our door, 30 min before we said we should leave. A very attentive wakeup call.
The day before, while we sat in our room for a bit, they brought a nice platter with fruit, nuts, raisings, chocolats etc. We had such a wonderful stay. Breakfast was good, not overly done, but still plenty. The whole of the hotel was amazingly clean. Very very impressive!! HIGHLY recommended.
English is not spoken in the hotel. There was the use of google translate into English. but if you like a little challenge, this is not a big issue. We managed perfectly well.

Sensacional hospedaje en Jiva, dentro de la Ichan Kala, genial para ir caminando a todos los puntos turísticos más relevantes y muy silencioso para descansar al final del dia. El personal es extraordinario, nos atendieron muy bien y hacen un gran esfuerzo para que el huésped esté a gusto.
Fue excelente la estadía aquí. Muy buen lugar.

This is a family-run guesthouse - they live on site. We had no language in common but they were so helpful and kind! When they had people visiting and were serving them food, they offered us food too! The room is plain and basic, but very clean, with good sheets on the bed and a light on each side of the bed, as well as bedside outlets. The location is great too: in a inside the walls of the old city, so all of the sights are nearby. The breakfast is good too - plenty of food.
The bed was a bit hard for my taste, and of course it's just a very basic guesthouse, so you can't expect luxury, but you can expect kind and helpful people!

The place was clean and close to center. Breakfast was good. If it wasn't for the owners liying about the registration, we could recomend the stay. Had problems because the owners did not make a proper check out within obligatory online registration and the next hotel could not make a proper check in, so we end up at tourist police and ministries and waste half the day and the owners lied that we did not pay them! And we almost had to pay a fine! If you decide to stay make sure to get a proper checkout with qr code printed from the uzekistan system on computer, and not the had written with the stamp.
