The location is just amazing: tucked away in the heart of Littondale, in the middle of a tiny hamlet, the Queen's Arms is like something from a bygone age - just a charming, unfussy, unspoilt old-world pub. The food was excellent (and very reasonably priced), the staff were lovely, good selection of beers on tap and a surprisingly good wine list! Walking around Litton is some of the best 'easy hiking' you'll find in the dales - it is pretty remote (that's the point) which means you don't get the crowds except in the highest season.
Nothing at all!

Beautiful location, lovely staff

The location was perfect however this is not surprising given that this accommodation was specifically chosen because of its location (so that we could do a long walk including Pen-y-Ghent). The breakfast was nice and the staff were very pleasant. The pub/bar is a nice cosy space and the surroundings are lovely. The pub food was nice, albeit a little overpriced. The beer was good.
The accommodation is outdated and unfortunately, shabby. Wallpaper is peeling, the room was dusty and had a 'foisty' damp smell, and facilities were not quite what you would normally expect as standard, i.e. a TV in the room. The shower was also a little hit and miss, one minute freezing and the next, burning.
