Having ended my trip and after a month from staying at Hotel Alpenruhe, I am happy to say that all the positives about the hotel and the team of 7 is still valid.
I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to stay for the 11nights. Everything detail on the property is immaculately maintained and thought out. From the room to the dining hall to the library and gardens, nicely curated and maintained. You can feel that the team and owners take great care and pride of their property.
The service is consistent throughout my stay, with every single guest being treated professionally and great attention to details.
Breakfast was of good quality with a choice of eggs and coffee/tea made to your preference and a good selection of cheese and bread.
Shuttle service from the station on arrival and to station on check out was excellent.
Daily complimentary Ricola sweets and tea/coffee is a sweet touch.
Finally the View, from my balcony. Everyday has a different show put up by the mountains and valley. The quiet valley forces me to slow down and appreciate everything present while the hotel and team made it possible to enjoy it in comfort.
Grateful to be able to stay, I hope there will be a chance to bring my family for a future visit and I would definitely recommend this Gem to anyone.
The slight squeaks of the floor, doors and furniture if I had to pick but these are noticable mainly because the valley is very quiet.

The location offer a fantastic view. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast is very yummy
The pillows are too soft for me. I asked for extra pillows and was given, but still a bit too soft for me.

Great location. Very clean. Staff are fantastic. A nice breakfast.
Beds and pillows are cheap and uncomfortable. As a side sleeper, I woke up repeatedly in the night because of neck and shoulder pain. The room is very warm even in the fall.
