Once figured out, since there were no directions provided, the access to Ueno train station was ideal to walk above the traffic and not having to cross streets. Rooms were typical Japan sized rooms and came with a mini refrigerator and 2 complimentary water bottles. Staff were helpful and addressed our needs, although they seldom smiled.
Access to people walkway above the traffic has one elevator on the street, nearest the hotel, that shuts off at 1600, 4pm, making it difficult for impaired people to access, but to take their time walking the long staircases, up and down. Several trainees at front desk, so questions took a while to be answered. But in the end, they found someone who helped and they were very accommodating.

Convenient location.
1. Room photo on Booking.com is misleading. I didn’t realize that one side of the bed is against the wall not shown in the photo. Totally a pet peeve of mine.
2. Breakfast was decent. We sat at the window wall facing the street. The adjacent trellis was dirty and the “garden” outside was unkempt and unsightly.
