The decor and the restaurant.
The mattress in our room felt very worn out, and there was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom.

The entire facility is excellent. Staff is responsive, historical renovation superb, Restaurant awsome.
The bed! it was a 5-6 inch mattress on a platform. The staff put a topper for the second night which improved it but is was still well below the level of this facility. It appears they spent millions on this property and Room 5 had what appeared to be an IKEA bed and Mattress?

The swimming pool area is very nice, room was clean and breakfast was good.
The room had no window and it was too close to the patio where all meals were served, no privacy whatsover. Also, too expensive for what it offer and for the area.
Small detail, they have given us a granita on arrival but it was nothing like the real Sicilia granita and for how much they charge I would at least expect they could source a real one.
