Spacious room
There is no kettle in the room and kitchen is quite a distance on a different floor

You can see that the hotel is old, but nice. They have lots of icelandic decoration in the hallways and common spaces, showing personality. The room was spacious and the bathroom too. Although we didn’t buy their breakfast, there was coffee available for us. Also, they had nice tables outside, which we used to eat our own breakfast. There’s no minibar in the room, but they have a shared kitchen you can use. They have a famous home made ice cream!
There’s nothing separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom, so it got really wet. The shared kitchen didn’t have a proper window, so it smelled kind of bad due to the cooking.

The farm surroundings were beautiful and the next morning it was clear and you could see the mountains and glaciers in the distance. I also walked into the cow milking barn and learned all about how the cows are milked with the milking machine. The woman working there was very nice and explained everything.

Location was good, a few km out of Hofn. Had the weather (mid summer) been good we would have had a view of a glacier. Room size was good.
Room was very hot and window only opened 2cm. Heated floor just made it worse.. 26degC. Pillows were about 5 cm thick, one per person. Had to fold in half and then fold a blanket under it. Hostess was grumpy and unsmiling, certainly not welcoming in any way. A shared kitchen with shared uncold fridge. No tea or coffee making in the room.
