The hotel is in a nice location with a lovely view. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The restaurant was very good with a good choice and the breakfast was very good.

We arrived later in the evening and this was no problem at all. We were met with very friendly staff who were happy to answer our questions and get us check-in. Our room was very spacious and had a good amount of hooks and hangers for our belongings. The bathroom was also spacious and came with everything you could need, including a powerful shower. We ate dinner at the hotel and it was SO good - albeit expensive (but, then again, that's the trend in Iceland). Breakfast had many options to choose from and was very welcome since most places we looked at when booking did not offer this. Overall, we had a wonderful nights stay and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay with easy access to Jokulsarlon.
The coffee mugs in the communal area were not replenished from the night before, so we were unable to have a tea/coffee in the morning in our room.

Beautiful location with views. Friendly staff. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant.
Some rooms have better views than others. I would ask to face the water.

Hali hotel is in a beautiful location. Great views of both sea and mountains
The apartment needs a little maintenance as some parts are quite worn and tired.
My main gripe however is for the high cost of the room, breakfast is not included. And the cost of meals in the restaurant is crazy expensive. Absolutely ridiculous prices. I feel with the meal prices they are taking advantage of the captive audience they have there because there is nothing, not even a shop for many miles . And for the extreme high price the food portions are tiny. The cost of the restaurant was really the main thing that lets this place down as otherwise it is very nice.
