One of the best places I have stayed at, not just in Iceland, but anywhere! The farm location is beautiful and quiet and just a short drive from Vatnajökull National Park Visitor Center and hike to Skaftafell. Your neighbors are Icelandic sheep and horses. The apartment and yes this is just like a 1 room apartment with full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. You can sit inside or out (weather permitting) and look out over the valley and at the auroras if you are lucky. I also recommend visiting the little bar called the sheep shed just a very short walk away. Owners were very nice and welcoming. Doing a fantastic job renovating the buildings creating a very comfortable place to stay.
Nothing, everything was wonderful!

Spacious place, nice kitchen with all the equipment you need, good bed and big bathroom.
Near the glacier.
We were there two days. On both days the bar was closed. Such a shame.

Nice location close to the hiking trails
There was a lot of hair left over from another guest in the bed, bathroom and kitchen so the cleaning is very poor. The bathroom has a very poor ventilation system so smells are hard to get out
