Beautiful hotel with luxury finishes in the very heart of the historic centre. Lovely lobby with a high-end feel. Large bedrooms. Great breakfast. Quick to check-in our group of 14.
Spa not working, pool cold. The only place in 12 properties of our southern Italian bike-packing trip that charged for bike storage. Fee was not super high but the spirit is not as supportive of bike tourism as other hotels.

The hotel is set in a grand, 18th-century baronial palace (palazzo baronale). It looks out over the lively Piazza Vittorio Emanuele and the magnificent baroque Church of Santa Chiara. The building truly breathes the classic history of the Southern Italian nobility, and has recently been completely renovated into a modern four-star hotel.The great thing is that despite the ZTL (restricted traffic) zone, you can actually drive straight up to it. The hotel registers your number plate so you won’t get a fine. We had a beautiful Superior Double or Twin Room with City View, overlooking the bustling square. Thanks to the thick walls, it stays lovely and quiet inside. The room is spacious. Breakfast is great and is served in a rooftop area, offering fantastic views out over the city.
The shower needs an update and is rather small. The toilet seat was too small for the bowl and kept shifting around whenever you sat on it.

location is great.
I had a single room. Perfectly adequate, though tiny, room, narrow bed, and barely room for a chair. No hair dryer, tiny shower, no bedside light, no coffee making facilities
