Hotel's location and view were impeccable. We were able to walk to a number of attractions in Kawaguchi-ko and early-morning transport to Fuji was easy. The room was spacious. We were lucky, and had incredible views of Fuji from the onsen.
The hotel felt tired and worn. The rooms could have used a fresh coat of paint and a little TLC.

Great View!. Hot springs were awesome. The hotel is beautiful and rich with history and culture. Exceeded out exceptions and was all you could want and more from a Traditional Japanese Hotel with old world charm.
Everything met our expectations

Old fashioned hotel, but with its soul.
Nice onsen open till midnight. Rich Japanese style breakfast served by very kind women.
Quite worn out.

Lovely environment . Beautiful view of the lake .
Not very clean . Shower curtain was mouldy . Experienced some sort of insect bites and itching over the body after sleeping on Tatami mattresses
