The Hotel was clean and our room was modern and comfortable for an old building. Manager was friendly and professional when we arrived, showed us to our room (a lot of stairs).The location is right in the centre of Lyndhurst so you are right next to all ameaniites.
Parking is limited, so arriving early might be a good idea. We ended up parking in the main Town's car park which is just across the road from the Hotel. We paid £8.90 (with Ring Go app) for 20 hours which i thought was reasonable - Hotel car park is free.

The staff were so helpful and caring towards the people staying at the hotel! It was decorated so well for Halloween and autumn which made it so cosy.
We had some issue with our drains and the shower and toilet kept getting blocked. It was leaving a strong smell of egg due to drainage issues. We did tell reception of this when leaving and they were apologetic and explained they will get it sorted. Apart from that, such a lovely stay.

Located on High Street so having free parking at rear was a bonus
Room overlooked High Street and was quite noisy. Broken window patched with plywood board. Shower cubicle very small and controls not easy to use to get temperature right before stepping in. 4’6” bed smaller than used to.
Breakfast could have benefitted from a selection of juices, fresh fruits and muslie. Not a great fan of cooked breakfasts every day.
