Comfy bed, clean room, I really cannot say I liked anything more than that!
Desk staff tried to give us a standard double, when I'd booked a family room. I went back to the desk and was told "oh you can use the sofa bed". Erm, no thanks! So the young lady gave us a family room and we switched. The room was fine, but no hairdryer which is a real surprise as my Mum had expected one at a Marriott! Breakfast was awful: dry bacon, sugared beans, sausages like rubber, ketchup from some alien place, but the staff members were lovely. The Italian restaurant we ate dinner at was bang average and well overpriced. £22 (plus service) for a large glass of Chianti, what? I travel to the US monthly for work and stay at properties better than this for $75 (£60) a night. This was £186, which is a joke and I'd expected far more. Oh and all morning from 7am there was some communal door opening and closing which would shake the entire floor, so even a good night's sleep was cut short and we could hear the guests from at least two other adjacent rooms.
