Seven Hotel

The food was beautiful, staff were friendly , it was quiet , beds were comfy and had a lovely sea view too.

From checking in to checking out the whole experience was swift, friendly and very enjoyable. Lovely location, great staff who checked me in early and quickly Delicious breakfast and room was lovely and comfortable Will definitely stay again

The hotel was clean, tidy and well presented, and the overall appearance was in keeping with its boutique description. Cleanliness was a positive aspect of our stay, and the hotel itself was pleasant. Unfortunately, the issues we experienced with the room, parking and service took away from those positives.

Several aspects of our stay were disappointing, particularly given the price and the hotel’s boutique positioning. Before arriving, I had specifically requested a sea-view room and clearly stated that I was happy to pay extra. On arrival, we were politely told there was no record of this request and nothing could be done. This suggested that communication before our stay had not been properly recorded or passed on. Instead, our room overlooked a rear door near an area where barrels were stored. In the early hours, people were outside smoking, laughing and joking exceptionally loudly. The noise disturbed our sleep and made the room’s position particularly disappointing. The television also kept switching itself on approximately every 15 minutes. When we mentioned this to the receptionist at checkout, he said they already knew about the problem. It was frustrating to discover that this was a known issue that had not been resolved before our stay. Parking was another significant concern. I had contacted the hotel beforehand to ask whether a parking space could be reserved because someone in our party has a disability. I was told this would be arranged. However, when we arrived, all the hotel’s parking spaces were occupied and we had to park on the road. Having explained the reason for the request and received that assurance, this was particularly disappointing. I was also unhappy with how the £50 deposit was handled. The hotel’s email stated that contactless payments could not be accepted for the deposit. However, while I was completing the arrival paperwork, I placed my card on the reception counter and the receptionist picked it up and tapped it on the card reader without asking me first. When I questioned this, he appeared to shrug off my concern rather than explain the process or acknowledge the inconsistency. More than 24 hours after checkout, the £50 had still not been returned or released on my card.
