Excellent location on a more quiet beach, our room number 16 on a higher floor had an excellent side view over the ocean/beach and a green mountain. Best view I’ve had in a room and a pleasure waking up to.
Spacious room, big bed with multiple and diverse pillows, a couch and table, large bathroom.
Minor things like a loose shower handle or the absence of a coffee machine and complimentary water in the room could be overlooked with such a nice room/location.
Two points where the hotel could improve:
- if you turned off the AC, a smell of moist / humidity set in. So we turned the AC on every soo often even when we didn’t need it.
- while the breakfast buffet was to our liking, the dinner options (with the exception of the delicious fruit) included in the half board were limited (for a 7 night stay) and were not value for money. I would not book the half board again but keep it limited to breakfast only.

Facilities were first rate. Very clean pool is awesome across the street from CONRADO Beach. Not too far from largest favela in Rio. Rochina which the locals were accommodating to tourist.
They were stingy with their towels.Nacional is about 30 minute ride to Cocabana which if you want to be in the mix is the place to be. If you want to lay low (quiet area)but high quality than this place is for you.

This is the best hotel in Rio de Janeiro in terms of architecture . The views are amazing and the hotel itself is close to the beach .
I will inform management personally.

the location is good, nicely situated between Zona Sul and Barra da Tijuca.
The facilities are run down, the room was not clean (things on the floor and under the bed), the gym's equipment is very old and not well maintained. There is no free water in the gym or in the room.
The breakfast is absolutely horrible - the worst I have seen in quite a while.
