For the price, this is not a bad choice at all. The room (twin double) was very comfortable, with all the facilities you need. The carpet is a little threadworn, some rooms can be quite noisy apparently but ours was silent due to facing the back, the location is right in Old Cairo and convenient for many nearby attractions. If you like luxury and everything new then this is not for you. The cafe serves a good simple breakfast and there is a small balcony looking over the street you can eat at. The staff are very friendly and organised a driver for us for half a day to take us to Saqqara which was great.
There’s no denying it, there is ALOT of building work in progress , the stairs are not to be used, but the lift works perfectly so it’s not the end of the world.

The bed and air conditioning were excellent. The staff was really nice and helpful. The breakfast was really delicious too!
The construction in the entrance and the stairwell seemed hazardous and it looked rundown. But the inside of the hotel was excellent. Also, my hair dryer didn't work.

The staff was great and helpful, the coffee was nice. Location is perfect. Close to a few tourists attraction places, walking distance to shops and restaurants.
The place was dusty due to renovations. There isn't variety of food for breakfast (only bread, canned fruits and kellogs, plain yogurt and one boiled egg) The floor is also carpets, (if you have sinusitis or asthma)
