The hotel is really close from the place where the boat docks. We got the junior suite, and the room had such an amazing view. It was awesome. The staff of the hotel were really polite, helpful and friendly. The hotel has very beautiful and well-maintained facilities. We really loved our stay.
The breakfast was good but not amazing. It's not that I didn't like it; it was just my least favorite part of the stay.

The location is perfect for people coming from the ferry across the lake (since the train station to Hallstatt is on the other side of the lake), but not for people coming from cars and buses - the ferry dock is almost next to the hotel, but the bus station and car parking are on the side of the town. The staff were friendly and helpful.
My first night was in a room that had the sealed window due to the outside construction. Since the building is heated automatically by floor-heat, you cannot change the temperature in any room individually. The first night was dreadfully hot; after complaining to the management, I was given a different room for the second night, which has a window that can be opened. So, you could be entirely happy if you happen to get a good room... or have a sleepless night if you get a sealed box.

1. Excellent location right in the heart of town on the town Square
2. Furnishings and view from the third floor lake facing terrace – exceptional
3. Housekeeper Claudia – the most proactive, friendly and helpful housekeeper we have ever encountered. A huge credit to the hotel.
4. Comfortable king size bed with added mattress topper.
1. The heavy flannel-like bed linens – even the pillowcase – and thick duvet in a high floor room with no air-conditioning and a small, almost useless, fan during very high outside ambient temperatures. Can’t open doors and windows for air due to bugs and noise. Very uncomfortable at night and almost no sleep as a result. Much stronger fan and lighter bedsheets needed in hot weather
2. Awkwardly positioned shower wand in the middle of the shower/bath combo rather than at the end, allowing water to reach the floors.
