The food was out of this world, as were the staff. Rooms were very comfortable.
Rooms need a little additions, light of dressing table, shelf in shower unit for toiletries, furnishings need a little re-vamp

Six of us stayed for one night to attend wedding at Stirk House. !0 minutes away from to the wedding venue, taxi cost £20. Lovely staff, clean rooms and a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and milk. Everyone enjoyed their large breakfasts we also had an evening meal that everyone enjoyed. Lovely location but sorry we didn't have time to explore it. Very good value for money.

The location was lovely, breakfast was tasty.
I thought it was expensive for the rooms that we had. The smell was musty and almost retirement home in feeling, the canopy over the bed in room 1 was about an inch thicknwith dust. Whilst it was clean, It was very dated internally, some of the fixtures where damaged and could do with a general revamp. At £90 per night I would accept what we had but at almost £150 I found it to be a little expensive when compared with other similar type properties I have stayed in previously. Bit of a time warp and I appreciate it is an old property but rooms just felt dated rather than charming. Staff where lovely though.
