Absolutely spotlessly clean, top marks for helpful, intuitive, friendly staff especially reception and restaurant waitress. We booked because it was the closest hotel to the church where we were attending a funeral the next morning and it definitely lifted our trip. We had an octagonal room in the tower and it was perfect, a nice big bed, plenty of space, lots of tea and coffee including a Tassimo machine! The en-suite was very small but had everything we needed including lovely toiletries and plenty of hot water. The sub level restaurant was all authentic Indian cuisine but the waitress was very, very helpful in suggesting dishes for me as I struggle now with very hot spicy food. She even ran to get me some mango lassi when she saw I was uncomfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay near to Canary Wharf.
The steps down to the very small en suite were a problem for me and unfortunately the bathrobe was not made for plus size ladies!

We received a warm welcome from the reception team and every time we entered the hotel they were very welcoming. It was very clean.
It’s a heritage hotel that has been renovated but the style feels cheap and does not compliment the history of the hotel. The bed was cheap along with the bedroom decor, it felt budget and lacked style and elegance. We went down for breakfast at 9am and there was no food left really, she went to bring some out but we felt unwelcome and a burden, we decided to go elsewhere.
Location wise it did not feel overly safe for 2 female travellers, we felt scared returning late at night with people handing around on the side street and speeding up the road on bikes and hiding their number plate. I would not return here.
