Physical Aggression

The outdoor area and pool space look pleasant. I also appreciated that two other people present later tried to calm the situation.

I booked this property late in the evening after a difficult day (my vehicle had broken down) because it had good reviews and was nearby. As a woman traveling alone with my dog, I took an expensive taxi to reach this rather remote location. Upon arrival, the owner/manager appeared intoxicated, was unaware of my reservation, and only spoke Spanish despite the listing stating that English is spoken. I specifically chose this property because dogs are allowed and booked a ground-floor room, as my dog cannot manage stairs well. The owner demanded additional payment for my dog before allowing me into the room and became increasingly aggressive. He tried to assign me a different room than the one I had booked. When I insisted on the room I had reserved, he escalated the situation, grabbed my arm and attempted to physically force me out, and threw my belongings into the hallway. I was extremely distressed and had nowhere to go at that hour. I called the police. After they spoke with him, I was allowed to stay one night (instead of the two originally booked). The reservation was cancelled in the system during the conflict. While the outdoor area and pool look nice (though the pool was not in use this season), the overall experience was very negative. The originally assigned room also had a noticeable mold smell. Additionally, the jacuzzi costs €80 extra. Two other people later present tried to mediate and apologized for his behavior, which I appreciated. However, due to the physical aggression and the overall handling of the situation, I cannot recommend this property.

Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt, da das Appartement richtig gemütlich eingerichtet ist und man alles findet, was man braucht. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und wir durften sogar etwas früher in das Appartement einchecken. Der Pool ist klein aber fein und war sogar im Oktober noch warm, da er über Nacht abgedeckt wird.

Die Einrichtung ist natürlich Geschmackssache, aber wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.
