Disappointed

Easy to access and clear instructions from owner on how to access property. Close to a couple of restaurants and bars but main part of Corralejo is a 35min walk away or a 7min taxi ride. Kitchen has everything you will need. Bedrooms were adequate with adjoining bathrooms. Shower hoses were unable to stay on if pressure was more than a trickle, we therefore gave up trying to continually reattach and used like a hose. Outside area very spacious, 6 loungers 2 parasols dining table with 6 chairs and separate padded seating area with table. Small pool but adequate. Pool was cleaned once during our stay but could have been done daily due to grime from neighbouring property. Corralejo itself is lovely and worth a visit.

The adjoining property was recently sold and a total refurbishment was underway when we arrived. Lots of banging, drilling, still saw cutting and jack hammers digging out a pool. 8am - 5pm weekdays, no work at weekends. Clouds of dust came over the small adjoining wall in back garden of our villa, pool area. Washing had to be moved to front/side of property. Loungers, tables etc constantly wiped free of dust and moved to try and avoid it. Unable to read, listen to music or chat properly due to noise. Inside property you could hear and feel vibrations so unable to escape there. The hope of a relaxing break with friends turned into a migraine with ear plugs. Host knew about works in advance by a few days but chose not to share that information therefore we had no choice on whether we should stay or go. In fact they advised they understood if we wished to leave! They informed that they spoke to workmen but any compromise they agreed was unsuccessful. As the host is running a business with associated costs and the building works was not on their property they would not entertain any compensation. I sincerely hope that they have notified any future bookings about the building site that is still ongoing. Mirrors in all bedrooms would also be a welcome addition.

House exceptional clean and with all the home comforts you could need, well stocked kitchen items, plenty of towels tv, books grrat outside space. Staff/ owners on hand easily contactable for any queries. Great sized bedrooms all with their own bathrooms
