Breakfast was superb. Dinner (fish and chips) was very good but far too many chips! A good selection of local and premium ales. The staff were very obliging with a good sense of humour. Parking was very good.
NOISE! Yes it is a very nice, refurbished inn but the noise from the bar and restaurant was far too loud. I stayed on a Friday and Saturday when a degree of noise is expected; I accept that and so, being an experienced traveller, I took my earplugs. That did the trick.

Very welcoming place and staff good. Lovely location
Unfortunately the bedrooms are over the bar so there is some noise but it does not go on late.

Fridge in room hadn't been stocked properly from previous guests ๐ and room needed window opening for fresh air to circulate

Characterful old Inn. Good atmosphere. Great staff. Good food and drink.
Updating needs to continue.
It was midnight before it was quiet enough to sleep. Loud music until 11:00 pm followed by loud lively discussion in the bar which was totally audible in the bedroom.
