The location was ideal for exploring Stone Town and close to other restaurants and venues. Room was large and spacious and Greta sized bed. Close to the alleys and attractions and staff and amenities were very good.l
We were not aware we could not get alocohol at the hotel, even with a meal. After being in-house for one night I received messages on Booking.com asking is we had arrived and checked in. Very strange and a first for us.

We stayed at the Freddie Mercury Apartments. Fantastic room, very clean and the bathrooms were beautifully tiled. Nice to have separate bedrooms and two bathrooms ! There is also a kitchenette. Full access to all of the main hotel amenities like the delicious breakfast, pools, private beach and full hotel services such as transportation, baggage holds, etc.

Location was good, right in the center of Stone Town with shops and other attractions nearby. It was next to the beach which made it nice to sit and have breakfast with a nice view. The pools were pretty cool too, and you could also see the sunset from there. The style of the hotel was also very ad hoc to the vibe of the town. And the room was good enough.
While the room was good, it could be a bit noisy during the day because it’s in the ground floor and next to the beach, there’s also a bar next to it and the bathroom has a window right into it and you can hear the music. The good thing though was that during the night, from 22:30 till the morning, it was pretty quiet, so it wasn’t disturbing during sleep time.

Amazing location in terms of being close to main sights and beach. Pools were lovely. Food was nice and being able to get room service was good. We were able to store luggage here for our safari. We got a family room which had 3 double beds in one room and a large bathroom with huge shower which was really nice. It was in a room in a building across the road which was fine for us but may not be for some people
While some of the staff were lovely, particularly the reception, the restaurant staff were extremely unwelcoming and unhelpful. We were told upon check in that breakfast was on until 10:30. When we arrived for breakfast the following morning we were informed it finished at 10. The restaurant staff were very unhelpful and after speaking with reception who allowed us to pick up the few remaining bits of the buffet remaining, we received many looks and multiple staff coming up to tell us we weren’t allowed despite being told to do so by staff. They seemed more bothered about ensuring there was some left for them. The hotel also attempted to charge us for a meal we already paid for on checkout which was quite stressful.
