The staff were so friendly & helpful , very accomodating, especially one lovely lady Vicki who drove us to their sister hotel for an evening meal, very kind of her to go out of her way to do that.
Lovely clean spacious rooms, we had to stay an extra night & was given a room over looking the train station for my partner who,s a trainspotter, so thank you fot doing that.
Its such a shame they dont do breakfast. Would have made our stay even more special cos the location was perfect.

The hotel was an ideal location for my visit. Due to renovations the kitchen wasn't open, but breakfast was provided in their sister hotel a 5 minute drive away with a choice of continental, or cooked breakfast all available on a self serve basis. The room was clean and comfortable.
After a nightmare journey we arrived alter than we expected and when we asked about an evening meal one of the receptionists drove us to their sister hotel in time before the kitchen closed.
At the time of our visit the outside was being refurbished so had scaffolding over the front. When we woke up we could hear workmen outside our room, but this is obviously a temporary situation

On arrival when i found the front entrance, i found the staff looked the part and found them to be very helpful when booking in. My room 204 i found to be very roomy and well prepared. However, later due to a family difficult situation I had to return home immeadiatley and was unable to stay the night at the Grand Hotel as planned. I thanked the staff for their service and the room 204 looked good and acceptable. I would consider their establishment in the future. Thank you.

In the brief dealings with the staff, they were super helpful. Particularly Leanne, thanks for sorting the reservation issue out.
Breakfast was included in the price of the room, however the hotel didnt serve breakfast, it was a 10 minute walk away. And the room wasnt exactly clean. Tidy, yes. Clean not quite. The amount of dust around the fittings in the room leave it some what to be desired.
