We liked the location. The restrictions of not keeping chairs near the lawn / outdoors was unjustifiable. Beautiful view but no chairs to sit.

Swimming pool tiles, expensive buffet, no alacarte, worn out things, broken solar panel at the pool

The place is excellent but the rooms require urgent upgradation as the furnitures, bed sheets, blankets look run down.Room Service was poor.Cottage Rooms require door mats specially during rainy season.Solar Hot Water is not effective during monsoon.You must add geysers.

The location is probably the only USP for Upper Deck.
The property looks very old. Though the rooms are big, they are not maintained well. The swimming pool had lot of lose tiles and ill maintained. The restaurant was extremely basic. Not what is expected from such a premium property after charging premium prices.
