Diamonds Villa made an excellent base for our visit to York, it was a 15 to 20 minute walk into the city. The room was a good size and clean and we were pleased to come back one day to find the bedding changed and fresh towels put out. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room. The toilet and shower rooms were just on the landing and were of a reasonable standard.
The big downside could have been car parking. It seems that the whole area is permit parking and there were only four spaces at the Villa - which cost an extra £10 per night to use! Fortunately we didn't have a problem but if all the spaces were taken I don't really know where I could have parked but we did spot a long stay car park about half a mile nearer the city.

It was hard work with a pram going uo and down the stairs. If we could of stopped downstairs that would of been better
The stairs was hard to get up and down with a baby

Friendly staff. Good size room and bathroom.
With the wind the gate rattled all night. Door to bathroom didn't fit tight also made knocking noises.
