Absolutely loved my stay at Te Nikau Retreat in the Hideaway Cottage. It had all the amenities needed for a comfortable, secluded getaway. Surrounded by beautiful native bush, it's the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle, relax and unwind.
The shower pressure was great, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the WiFi was an added bonus for a bit of doomscrolling once it got dark!
My only complaint? It didn't rain while I was there! I would have loved to experience the sound of rain falling through the native bush, but I know that's completely out of your control! 😅
Highly recommend! Such a peaceful little escape, and I'll definitely be back for another stay!

I loved the rainforest retreat. I stayed in Hideway. The nature of the rainforest is that it's damp. However, my room had a good heater and a dehumidifier which made ot very comfortable. I had a good toilet and shower, a kettle, hob, fridge and crockery and cutlery. I even had wifi!! The double bed was really comfortable. There was also a big comfy armchair which could tirn into a single bed. It was so lovely to sleep deep in the forest with the sound of the birds and the sea. I would love to come back one day
