I was here in June on my own and liked it so much I altered our September/October trip to come here again with my wife. I took my own advice and booked a room with a sea view which was well worth it. I could literally see the sun rise whilst laying in bed. We had a balcony we could use to get the morning sun and in the afternoon sit in the shade looking at the view. Our room (A6) was spacious with all the usual amenities including aircon, small fridge, smart TV and a kettle. The shower head looked like it came from a spaceship and had three or four different shower options. A nice touch was the bottle of sparkling water in the fridge.
All the staff are excellent, very efficient and helpful especially Giacomo ( Reception) and Raji ( Shuttle). There is a frequent shuttle to and from the port to access shops and restaurants. The shuttle will also collect you from the port on arrival.
The buffet breakfast is excellent with typical cold meats and cheese, fresh fruit, muesli and pastries. Scrambled eggs and barista coffee also available. The local ricotta cheese is one of the best I have tasted.
Normally I have a sensible healthy diet. The range of pastries on offer at were so tempting that I couldn't resist the occasional cake with breakfast.
